Age 74 of Wilmington passed away Sunday Sept 19, 2010 at the Joliet Hospice Home.
Born Sept 23, 1937 in Culleoka,TN to the late Rufus Wilburn & Dorothy May (Gibson) Cross
Also preceded in death by her first husband Ed Burns, a daughter Cindy Whaley, a son
Michael Burns, a sister Margaret and a brother Joe.
Survived by her present husband Franklin W. Lyons, a son Brian (Penny) Burns of Wilmington and a daughter Sandra Gilbert of Tennessee;
13 grandchildren Charity, Cassie, Kylie, Tracey, Kody, Jonathan, Krystal, Jayme, Jeffery, Trent, Mallory, Chrissy and Nessa; 9 Great grandchildren Mia, Olivia, Khloe, Braden, Kalie, Ryder, Levi, Emilee and Marian; four step-children Jeff Lyons of Maryland, Todd (Cheryl Conrad) Lyons of Braidwood, Steve Lyons of Wilmington and Robin Lyons of St. Louis,MO; 10 Step-grandchildren
Trent, Amanda, John, Steve, Meagan, Logan, Nick, Katie, Johnna and Leo.
Retired from Mobil Oil Refinery after 23 years in 1995 and former owner/operator of Wilma Jean's Power Station Lorenzo Road from 1987 to 2005.
A gathering of family & friends on Saturday September 25, 2010 from 10:00AM until time of services at 12:00 Noon at the Freitag Funeral Home Wilmington.
Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the Joliet Hospice Home would be appreciated in her name.
