Mrs. Mary Boland, wife of Captain James T Borland died at the family home in Broadway, Cape Vincent
early Saturday morning, after an illness of several weeks, from a complication of diseases. Shortly
after she was taken sick, upon the advice of her physician, she went to Watertown and underwent
an operation. Upon returning home she seemed somewhat improved, but shortly afterwards she grew
worse and failed rapidly until the end.
Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 sons James T. Borland of Albany and John N. Borland of
this village; 2 stepsons Dr. W. P. Borland of Richfield Springs and Dwight Borland of Carleton Island and a step-daughter Mrs. John Powers of Watertown.
