Irene was born in Arkansas, and had many siblings. She married James N. Bell, and together they had four children. She was left a young widow, when Nelson died in 1947. She was proceeded in death by her two sons, James Douglas Bell( - ) and Kirk Nelson Bell (1927-1994). She lived a colorful life, always having fun. I remember most her laughter and smile. She passed gently into the arms of her Lord on May 3, 1984 in Seal Beach, California. She was survived by two daughters, and 11 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
