Last rites for Mrs. Mollie Heyerdahl, who passed away at Mercy Hospital, Valley City, following an emergeny operation, were held Friday of last week at Gilbertson officiated and burial was in the Eidfjord Cemetery.
Mrs. Heyerdahl, pioneer of Dover Township, was 85 years old and had been a resident there since her marriage to Erik Heyerdahl 63 years ago. Mr. Heyerdahl passed away February 1, 1948. Mrs, Heyerdahl was a charter member of Eidfjord church.
She leaves one son, Carl of Hannaford, and a daughter, Mrs. Omer Michaelson of Dover. She was preceded in death by her husband and three sons, Elmer, Melvin and Gilbert. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Warberg of Maddock; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Swenson of Hannaford.
Honorary pallbearers were Odin Swanson, O. T. Michaelson, Andrew Tweit, A. L. Peterson, C. W. Michaelson and Sever Pederson. Active pallbearers were Clarence Swanson, Lester Michaelson, Ted Tweit, Leslie Peterson, John Michaelson and Sylvester Pederson.
Those attending from a distance were Mr. Warberg of Maddock; Mrs. Chas. Crawford and Jean of Rugby; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Johnson and Gary of Pettibone; Mrs. Agnes Heyerdahl of Minneapolis; Mrs. Lydia Johnson and Wendell of Park Rapids, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. John Jordan, Mrs. Joe Jordan, Mrs. Oscar Bergaust, Mrs. Gertrude Heyerdahl Engstrom, Mrs. Alpha Armstrong and Rev. and Mrs. E. O. Lee, all of Fargo.
