Mrs. Ida May Oesterle, 39 years of age of 2023 West Main Street collapsed and died suddenly at her home at 8:45 this morning. Death was apparently due to a stroke of apoplexy. She had prepared breakfast for her four smaller children and saw the children leave the house for school. Soon after she was speaking with her oldest daughter, Mrs. Walter Smith when she was stricken. Mrs. Smith called the family physician who pronounced Mrs. Oesterle dead.
Mrs. Oesterle was born in Pittsford, N.Y., May 17, 1890. She was the daughter of John K. Frei and Albertina Schaeppi Frei Abel. She was united in marriage with Henry Oesterle, May 7, 1906, in Canandaigua, N.Y. who survives her. In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Walter (Mina) Smith, Mrs. Oesterle leaves four children, Robert 12; Ernst, 8; Selma, 6; and Doris, 2. A niece and a nephew, Madeline and James Cornell, also live at the Oesterle home. Another nephew, Donald Cornell, lived there until he was married. Mrs. Oesterle is also survived by a brother, Julius Frei, of Geneva, N.Y. Mrs. Oesterle was a member of the Eastern Star and White Shrine.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the home with internment in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Julius Seib, of the Christian Science Church, will officiate.
