Born on June 4, 1926, in McSherrystown, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Mary A. (Wilt) Slagle.
Ethel was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Hanover, as well as the Altar Rosary Society.
She retired in 1988 from the Freeman Shoe Co. after many years of service.
Ethel is survived by one son, James C. Feeser and wife, Marion of Jacksonville, FL; six daughters, Jean Stone and husband, Barry of Gettysburg, Mary Piatek and husband, Frank of New Castle, Judy Groft and husband, Timothy of Hanover, Margaret Kahlbaugh and husband, Anthony of Hanover, Sandra Kwiecien and husband, Joseph of Pittsburgh, and Sharon Wolniak and husband, Matthew of Cockeysville, MD; 15 grandchildren, Brian, Jason, Kevin, David, Michael, Daniel, Elizabeth, Tracey, Melanie, Nathan, Sarah, Seth, Eric, Ryan, and Rachel; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sister Adela Slagle of Flourtown, and Helen Heiser of McSherrystown.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Slagle and Raymond Slagle; and one sister, Geraldine Wildasin.
Burial was in St. Vincent de Paul Church Cemetery, Hanover.
