Gundersen, Carl,83, of Coral Springs, passed away July 6, 2007. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Mary Joanne (Ritondaro) Gundersen in 2000. He was born April 17, 1924 in Chardon, Ohio to the late Carl and Katherine (Weiner) Gundersen. He served his country honorably during WW II in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a general superintendent in construction in Cleveland, Ohio where he was responsible for the building of many projects for General Motors, NASA, hospitals, churches and private industries. After moving to Coral Springs in 1984, Carl continued his work in the construction industry in both southwest and southeast Florida. He was a devoted member of his church and an elder. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Claudia (Robert) Osterhout of Coral Springs and Carla (Stephen) Ehrbar of Jupiter, FL. He was also a devoted grand-father to Brian Osterhout of Jacksonville, FL, Kimberly (Mark) Matson of Atlanta, GA, Kelsey Osterhout of Coral Springs, FL and Rebecca & Stephen Ehrbar of Jupiter, FL. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 10, 2007, 6:00 - 8:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home North, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 11, 2007, 9:30am at First Church United Methodist, 8650 West Sample Road, Coral Springs. Interment to follow at South Florida National Cemetery.
