__Mary M. Kennedy, 94, of 438 Fourth Ave. SW, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, in Mercy Medical Center following a short illness. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Patrick Catholic Church, by the Rev. Steven Rosonke. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Teahen Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Wednesday.
__Survivors include a son, Donald (JoAnn) of Mokena, Ill.; six daughters, Mary Louise McGuire of Cedar Rapids, Kathleen (Kaye) Slocum of Dubuque, Phyllis (Michael) Courtney and Marilyn (John) Kolden, both of Cedar Rapids, Patricia (John) Park of Toddville and Carol (Ron) Peterson of Gilbert; a daughter-in-law, Judy Kennedy of Cedar Rapids; a half sister, Rita (Elliot) Driscoll of Williamsburg; 25 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
__She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; a son, Harold; and two brothers, Frances and Paul Leahy.
__Mary was born May 29, 1909, in Parnell, to William and Susan Ryan Leahy. She married Raymond Kennedy on Feb. 6, 1933, in Parnell. He died in 1955.
__Mary taught at St. Patrick Catholic School for six years and at St. Jude Catholic School for 10 years. She was a member of St. Patrick Rosary Society, ACCW, American Catholic Women, and St. Patrick Catholic Church.
