Mary E. MCMEEKIN, daughter of James and Elizabeth MCMEEKIN, was born April 23, 1888. On April 5, 1911, she married William INNESS. Mary and William had four daughters (Helen, Tena, Mariam and Bess). Mariam, preceeded her mother in death. Mary joined the U.B. Church and placed her membership with the Methodist church after her marriage. She was faithful in attendance and a willing worker in the Dorcas society. In the home Mary was a devoted helpmate and mother. Her thoughts and actions were always for her family. Those characteristics dominant her family relationships - patience, thoughtfulness, kindness - and too these reached outside the family circle to all with whom she came in contact. A little more than a week before she died she was taken with influenza, but apparently was on the way to recovery when she became much worse and could not combat the disease.
