Adam Wald, Jr., 71, father of Andrew Wald, Linton area farmer, died Sunday morning, June 17, in a hospital at Oakes.
Born in Russia, he came to the United States at the age of nine and farmed in the Wishek area until 1944, when he moved to Oakes. His widow is the former Magdalene Gross of Napoleon.
He leaves his widow and the following six sons and eight daughters: Mrs. Herman (Eva) Wilkes, Dickey; Valentine, Edgeley; Andrew, Linton; Adam, Napoleon; Peter, Wishek; Mrs. C. (Dorothy) Schlosser, Buckley, Wash.; Sister M. Bertilla, New England; Mrs. Melvin (Catherine) Meyer, St Paul, Minn.; Sister M. Alice, St. Paul; Mrs. Fred (Maggie) Remien, Enumclaw, Wash.; Joseph, South Prairie, Wash.; Mrs. Orlin (Christine) Larson, Oakes; Mrs. Fritz (Monica) Podolak, Enumclaw, Wash.; and Tony, Oakes.
Funeral services were held from St. Charles Catholic Church, Oakes, June 19. Burial was in the church cemetery.
