Dorothy Lucille Bachtold, 95, Fairbury, passed away at 8:04 p.m. Monday (Sept. 27, 2010) at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
She was born Aug. 29, 1915 in Linwood, Michigan to Samuel and Mattie Yohr Ramseyer. She married Carl Bachtold on Jan. 16, 1938 in Bay City, Michigan. He passed away April 21, 1998. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Ramseyer; one sister, Miriam Wenger and one granddaughter, Tess Broquard Crawford.
Survivors include her children, Roger (Shirlene) Bachtold, Fairbury; Miriam (Ben) Metz, Francesville, Indiana; Herbert (Janice) Bachtold, Roberta (Wayne) Broquard and Gloria (Wayne) Drayer, all of Fairbury and Samuel (Betty) Bachtold, Roscoe; 23 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
