A resident of Bryan County for 40 years, Lillie was born in Bennington on April 17, 1924, to Jerry and Seleah (Pistubbee) Mintz. Lillie married Empson Tonubbee on Aug. 10, 1942, in Boswell.
Lillie was a member of the Church of Christ and a home maker. She liked to sew, make quilts and ceramics.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Delbert Tonubbee, two brothers and two sisters.
Lillie is survived by her son Jerry Lawrence, Sherman Texas; daughters Sherry (Tonubbee) Corbin, Waterflow, N.M., and Lila Tucker, Idabel; sisters Charlene Tidwell, Amarillo, Texas, and Jane Mintz, Bokchito; brother James Mintz, Bokchito; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Tucker, Rickey Tonubbee, Randy Tonubbee, Danny Palmer, James Sells and Carlos Brown.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Durant Daily Democrat
