Carol was born July 21, 1937, in Idaho Falls to Arthur Chester Edwards and Erma Viola Hincks Edwards. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls.
Carol married Dean Charles Simpson Sr. on April 8, 1962, in Las Vegas, Nev. They lived all over the Western states for several years as Dean pursued work in construction, eventually settling in Idaho Falls. She was a homemaker and mother and also worked as an office clerk at JELCO, then later as an operator at Pillsbury, from which she retired. Dean passed away Aug. 26, 1993.
Carol loved collecting rocks, bottles and Avon, and she enjoyed bowling.
Carol is survived by her son, Randy K. (Mary) May of Yakima, Wash.; daughter, Cindy (Frank) Flores of Missoula, Mont.; stepsons, Jim (Trudy) Simpson, Dean (Chris) Simpson and Kenneth (Cheryl) Simpson, all of Pocatello, Idaho; a stepdaughter, Julia (Ronald) Croft of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Donna O'Maley of Idaho Falls and Billie (Bill) Husbands of Farmington, Utah; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
