He attended school in Ellis. He was a plumber for 25 years at Fort Hays State University. He belonged to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hays.
On April 27, 1963, he married Zita Younger in Colorado. She survives.
Other survivors include: his mother, of Ellis; a brother, Frank Jr., Ellis; two sisters, Alfreda Klaus, Hill City, and Ruby Klaus, Plainville; numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sister Caroline Stadelman, and a brother, James.
Parish vigil will be at 7 p.m. today at Brock's North Hill Chapel, Hays. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays, with Father Don Zimmerman presiding. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and until 9:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hays. The family suggests memorials for Masses.
