Marge was born April 23, 1926 to Martin and Kathryn Miller in Canova, South Dakota.
She graduated from high school in Alta, Iowa and received her R.N. degree from St. Joseph Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa in 1947.
While working as a nurse in Storm Lake, Iowa, she met the love of her life, John Gannon. They were married on August 16, 1950 at the St. Joseph Cathedral in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
She continued nursing career a few more years before focusing her love and attention on her family.
Having lost both her parents at a young age, raising a close, loving family was very important to her. Marge and John fulfilled that dream, raising six devoted children.
