Edwin Smith died at the Soldiers' home hospital Tuesday morning, at the age of 77 years.
During the Civil War he served in company H of the 13th Iowa volunteer infantry. He had been a member of the Soldiers' home since October, 1896.
Funeral services will be held at the Summers & Krebs chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Burial will be in Silent Camp, Morris Hill Cemetery.
A special funeral carl will be provided.
Members of G.A.R. are specially requested to attend.
