"Mrs Doris V Blakeslee, wife of Paul A Blakeslee of Spartansburg, RD 3, died last evening in Corry Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was 47 years old. The daughter of John H and Minnie Macon Gilmore, Mrs Blakeslee was born Sept 13, 1906 in Onoville, NY. She was married to Mr Blakeslee on June 23, 1928. Surviving besides her husband are three children, Mrs Beverly Kenniston, William A Blakeslee and Paul G Blakeslee, all of Spartansburg, RD 3; four grandchildren; two brothers, Merle Gilmore of Forestville, NY, and Milo Gilmore of Cassadaga, NY; and four sisters, Mrs Blanche Wooley of Fredonia, NY, Mrs Cora Hatch of Austin, PA, Mrs Egbert Farmer of Collins, NY, and Mrs Bessie Powers of Fredonia. A sister, Mrs Fred Miller, died last July. Friends may call...at the Torrey and Hays funeral home, Spartansburg...Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg."
