MRS. HANSFORD DIES AFTER HEART ATTACK
Wife of Former Jasper County Peace Officer and County Resident 50 Years Was 69.
Mrs. Nora Hansford, 69 years old, 2510 North Florida Avenue, wife of Edward F. Hansford, former Jasper County peace officer, died at 5 o'clock yesterday morning at her home. She suffered a heart attack Thursday night.
Mrs. Hansford had resided in Carthage and Joplin 50 years. She was born January 29, 1878, near Mt. Vernon. She was a member of the First Community Church, Order of Eastern Star and White Shrine.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ned Rudolph of University City, Missouri
two sons;
Harold Hansford of Carthage and
Royle Hansford of 2347 Utica Avenue
three sisters;
Mamie Kirby Ralston
Lucille Kirby Campbell
Osa Ola Kirby Douglas
and a brother in San Fernando, California [Edward 'Eddie' Kirby]
HANSFORD FUNERAL TO BE HELD MONDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Hansford, who died Friday morning at the family residence, 2510 North Florida, will be held at the First Community Church with Dr. J. Ruskin Howe officiating.
The body lied in state at the Hurlbut chapel until time for the funeral at Hurlbut Chapel, it was then transferred to the church.
