Mrs. Carrie J. Smith, 94, of Montrose, died Friday in Montrose General Hospital. Her husband, Barney, died in 1972.
Daughter of the late Albert and Rita Velkamp [sic] Junta, she was born in the Netherlands, and lived in Ridgewood, N.J., before moving to Montrose in 1964. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Montrose.
Surviving are a son, Alfred B., Montrose; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, John Junta, Paterson, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Vanderveen, Midland Park, N.J., and Pearl Bollinger, New York State, and nieces and nephews.
