He was born in Boone County on December 28, 1915, the son of Robert Lynn and Jessie Fern Kincaid Martin.
In a double ceremony, on July 27, 1936, he married Lucille Adeline Mundell, along with his friends, John and Mary McMains, they were all wed in Stilesville, Indiana. Mrs.
Martin survives.
Surviving with his wife are three sons, Michael Martin of Mechanicsburg, Mark M. Martin (wife: Diana) of Kirklin and Jacob "Jake" L. Martin (wife: Tammy) of Port Charlotte, Florida; a daughter, Darlene Ross (husband: John) of Indianapolis; a brother, Dale Martin (wife: Edith) of Lebanon; three sisters, Mary Jean Brennan of Winamac, Maxine Teeguarden (husband: Dick) of Frankfort and Nita Fern Mundell (husband: Max) of Oakford; and three nieces that lived in his home, Karen Mundell Kowalski (husband: Walt) of Denver, Colorado, Patty Fern "Trish" Martin Bell (husband: Mike) of Indianapolis and Barbara Sue Martin Stevens (husband: Larry) of Yorktown.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia Diane; two grandsons, Brad Martin and Shane Martin; a sister, Roberta Kathleen Sink; and three brothers, Marvin, Robert and Carol Martin.
Burial will be in Scotland Cemetery.
