Nancy C. Nation, 86, longtime Park County resident, died Wednesday, January 1, 1992, at the Livingston Convalescent Center following a long illness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 1992, at 1:30 p.m. at the Franzen-Davis-Bebee Chapel with Rev. Dick Paul of the First Baptist Church of Livingston officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View cemetery. She was born May 2, 1905, in Edina, Miss., the daughter of Edward and Lucy VanDolah. While she was still a child, the family moved to Brackett Creek in the Clyde Park and Wilsall area. She attended schools on Brackett Creek. In the late 1900's she was married for a short time to Fred Adams and in 1929 she moved to Livingston. On October 17, 1934, she married Howard Nation in Bozeman. She worked for many years for the Livingston Laundry before retiring in 1967. She lived in Butte for a time, returning to Livingston in 1971. Mr. Nation died on October 22, 1982. Mrs. Nation was a member of the First Baptist Church of Livingston for over 50 years. She was close to her family and her church and enjoyed working with her beautiful flowers in her garden. Survivors include one son, Robert A. Adams; two daughters, Mrs. Byron (Bessie) Versland and Mrs. Bill (Bonnie) Bannon, all of Livingston; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church or to the Livingston Convalescent Center.
