Strasburg - August Bredow died at his home near Herborn on Oct. 18 after an illness of only a few days. Funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon, burial being in Spain cemetery. Mr. Bredow was 89 years old last April. He was a native of Prussia, coming to America in 1857 and to Shelby county in 1865. He was a member of the Evangelical Church and was held in high esteem by his neighbors. His wife died two years ago. He is survived by one son, L. H. Bredow; two daughters, Mrs. Niering of St. Louis and Anna, at home; one brother and sister in Michigan and one sister in Australia. Funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon by the Rev.
