Mr. Chappell died Monday morning at Charleston, of an apparent heart attack. He was driving his auto at the time and ran into a house, however no great damage was done to the house or car.
An employee of Farrier Construction Co., he had resided at Charleston since moving from the Albion area in 1942.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Frank (Amy) Nelson and Mrs. Ivan (Marjorie) Chalcraft, both of Albion, and Mrs. Alva (Carrie) Edwards and Mrs. Ray (Beulah) Kincheloe, both of Las Animas, Colo.; and two brothers, Walter Chappell of Albion and Rollie of Grayville.
Born in Edwards County September 114, 1908, he was the son of Perry and Matilda Elliott Chappell. He was never married.
Services were conducted by Rev. Roy Colllins, with burial at Graceland Cemetery.
