Deborah June Selmyhr
June 1, 1950 - Sept. 12, 2010
Deborah June Selmyhr was born in Compton, Calif., June 1, 1950, and passed away after a long fought illness in Sacramento, Calif., on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010. She leaves behind her husband of 36 years, Gary; two sons, Michael and David; and a beautiful granddaughter and joy of her life, Jsel. She is also survived by her dear sister, Gwyn Douglas of Grizzly Flat; sister-in-law, Judy Davis of Southern California; cousin, Kathleen Frieling of Placerville, and friend Dosha Colson of Cameron Park.
Debbie cared very deeply for her two boys and her husband Gary. She was the glue that bonded the family. She was loved by all who knew her well!
Debbie was employed for many years by Jean Tindel and Ann Finck of Placerville as office manager. Later she was manager of the Fossil store in the Outlet Stores in Folsom, Calif. She had been employed the last seven years by Western Sign Co. as office manager until her death. She was a person of very high integrity as she never spoke of personal problems in her life either at home or her employment. If we all could be so fortunate.
Debbie "loved life with her friends", either bowling with "the girls" on Monday nights, shopping with her cousin and sister, or gambling at the various casinos with Cindy Brazelton, her best friend. She never had an ill word about anybody or anything. Her void in our lives will be hard to fill. She has already made changes in peoples lives for the better because of her passing.
Per her family's request, a private memorial will be held. Interment has been left with Green Valley Mortuary in Rescue, Calif.
