Pioneer of the lower Valley Answers Final Summons
At the home of her son, Walter Weber, in Freedom, occurred the death of Mrs Verena Weber on Wednesday of this week. Mrs Weber had been ailing for several months past, suffering from leakage of the heart and dropsy.
She was born in Switzerland and was at the time of her death 61 years of age. She was converted to the Gospel in Switzerland and was of member of one of the hand-cart company's that crossed the plains. She with her husband who has been dead for 11 years came to Star Valley about 28 years ago.
To mourn her loss she leaves eight children, the five Weber boys, Mrs Geo Kennington, Mrs Willie Jenkins and Mrs Ray Clark. Funeral services were held from the Freedom meeting house today and interment took place in the Freedom cemetery.
