Born in Rose Bay, she was a daughter of the late William and Catherine Louise (Niford) Zinck. She was a member of Trinity United Church, Rose Bay. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Parks, Riverport; Jean (Mrs. Frank King), Bridgewater; brother, Russell, Rose Bay; a granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband, George Backman; second husband, Albert Barry; two sistes, Maizie, Olive; four brothers, Frank, Wallace, Charles, Fred. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Rev. Robert Zinck officiating. Burial will be in Harbour View Cemetery, Lower Rose Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity United Church, Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care or any charity.
