Marion Rhone Kelly, 84, of Howe Street, North Haven, died Aug. 25, 2010, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of the late William J. Kelly.
Born in New Haven, Dec. 18, 1925, she was a daughter of the late John T. and Catherine V. Malone Rhone. Mrs. Kelly helped to establish the library at St. Francis School in New Haven and had worked as a secretary at Bishop Woods School for 25 years until her retirement. She enjoyed her frequent trips to the casino; was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the UCONN women's basketball team.
She is survived by daughters, Kathleen M. Kelly, of Northford, and Patricia K. Salazar and her husband, Walter E. Salazar, of Wallingford; grandchildren, Walter and Alexander Salazar; and a brother, Donald F. (Mona) Rhone, of Hamden and Sister-in-law Barbara Rhone of North Haven. She was predeceased by brothers, William J. and John D. Rhone.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 28 at St. Frances Cabrini Church. Interment was in All Saints Cemetery. The North Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
