DEWARD R. SHOOK
Deward R. Shook, 57, of 50 E. Brown St., East Stroudsburg, died Thursday night at his home.

Born in Bartonsville, he was a son of Rodgers C. and Cora Feller Shook.

He was employed as a carpenter for Daniel Wise, Scotrun, and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Stroudsburg; Fort Penn Lodge, Knights of Malta, Stroudsburg, a charter member of Pocono Township Volunteer Fire Co.; a member of the Monroe County Stamp Club and the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America.

Survivors include his widow, the former Anna Post; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Heller, East Stroudsburg, and a grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Daniel G. Warner Funeral Home, Stroudsburg, with burial in Custards Cemetery, Bartonsville.
