Rebecca McCord died September 24, 1858 and is buried at Long Creek Cemetery.
On June 25, 1859, Jacob Cross, Sr married Susan Hunter Ribble in Palo Pinto County, Texas. Their son, Jacob Cross, Jr. was born on April 23, 1860. They only lived together a few years. There is no record of a divorce, but she went back to using the last name of Ribble.
Jacob's daughter, Lydia Cross, died January 29, 1878 and is buried in Long Cemetery.
