Biography
Ersie Webb Adams of Upton, who lived to be 90years and 10months old, went home to Heaven on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. Ersie was born to her parents, Abe & Lela Logsdon Webb on October 15, 1919. She was a long time member of the Upton Baptist Church and the Upton Eastern Star.
Ersie was a loving and giving lady who loved her family and working on her farm. She enjoyed digging in the earth and spending time in her garden and flowers. She enjoyed having company and spent many summer days through the years entertaining visiting family and friends. She was always ready with a glass of sweet iced tea or something to eat for her guests.
She was very ill in the weeks leading up to her death, but God has set her free from pain and suffering. While we will miss her ready smile and generous spirit, we are happy to know that she has indeed gone home.
In addition to her parents, Ersie was preceded in death by her son, Paul Houston Waddle; one brother, Albert Webb; four sisters, Mayme Campbell, Liza Bell Logsdon, Eva Merrick & Bernice Stewart.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory-
One son-Deward Caswell & his companion Doris of Upton
Her daughter-in-law-Barb Waddle of Louisville
Two grandsons-Paul Darren Caswell & Paul Kellach Waddle
One granddaughter-Bonita Richardson
Several great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews & friends
Services for Ersie Webb Adams will be conducted at 11am CST Saturday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Everett Priddy officiating. Burial will be in the Memory Park Cemetery at Bonnieville. Visitation will be Friday from 3:30pm-8pm CST and will continue after 8am Saturday at the Sego Funeral Home until time for services. Alternate expressions of sympathy make take the form of donations to the Memory Park Cemetery or the Upton Baptist Church.
