She graduated from Beverly High School class of 1949 and Burdett Secretarial School. She is survived by her loving family: daughter Joan Pappas and her husband Costa of Beverly, son Harry and his wife Andrea of Beverly, son John and wife Donna of Ipswich, son Paul of Danvers, brothers George Zarkades and wife Lesley of Beverly, brother Anthone Zarkades and wife Pat of Salem, brother Nicholas Zarkades and wife Alexis of Beverly, eight grandchildren Alex Pappas, John, Pappas, Katina Pappas, Peter Kallas, George Kallas, Aliki Kallas, John Kallas and Christina Kallas all of whom she loved dearly. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was dearly loved by all and will live on in our hearts. Matina was a parishioner of St. Vasilios Church in Peabody, a member of the Daughters of Penelope and a contributor and supporter of Hogan Regional Center in Danvers.
