No absolute proof has been found as to the sure identity of Jane Summers, but through diligent research by Janet Carlson, a distant cousin, the most likely Jane buried here is the daughter of Daniel and Minerva (Springer) Summers. Her father, Daniel, died during the Civil War era and Jane went to live with her paternal grandparents, Rev. John Adam and Virginia "Jane" Summers. Jane's grandparents are buried in this graveyard, also, along with her brother, Jesse. Jane died at about the age of twenty years old and no records of marriage or children have been uncovered.
