A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 24, at 1 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery in Greenville, S.C., with the Rev. Ronnie Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 22, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins and at all other times at the home of Joyce Nelson, 200 Flint Hill Church Road, Robbins.
Mrs. Murphy was the wife of the late Luther C. Murphy and was a member of Southside Assembly of God in Greenville, S.C. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Murphy is survived by her daughter, Joyce M. Nelson of Robbins; her sister, Willie Wooten of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren, Ricky Nelson, Keith Nelson, Randy Nelson, Chad Nelson and Cindy Lambert; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
