Born in Stephens County, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Annie Sue Walters Fry. She was a retired nurse from Oconee Memorial Hospital and a member of Central First Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Jan Thomas Davis and his wife, Melissa, of Westminster; daughter, Jackie Ballard and her husband, Kirk, of Walhalla; stepchildren, Lynn Truitt and her husband, Lee, of Greenville, Walter Earle and his wife, Lisa, of Kenly, N.C., and Mark Earle and his wife, Jackie, of Greenville; sisters, Bobbie Caulder of Gray Court and Andrea Allison of Westminster; three grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas B. Davis; daughter, Jill Davis; and a sister, Eileen Tannery.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 16, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service from 1 to 2:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
