Edna G. Barrus, 99, of 150 Old Liverpool Road, Liverpool, passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in North Syracuse and was a member of the Liverpool First United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her first husband, Barney Thoma; second husband, Edward Barrus; and her son, Bernard Thoma Sr.
Surviving: her daughter, Betty (Ray) Ball of Fulton; daughter-in-law, Gertrude Thoma of Cicero; brother, Harold Gerhardt of North Syracuse ; sister, Polly Thompson of Tulsa, OK; grandson, Bernard (Paula) Thoma of Cortland; granddaughter, Alice Furlong of Austin, TX; great-grandsons, Nathan Thoma of Cortland, Larry Clark of Fulton; great- granddaughter, Michelle Nordstrom of Austin, TX; two great- great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool. Private burial in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
