Connie Adams, 82, of Albany, GA, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Charlie Brown, Rev. Charles Jones and Rev. Seaborn Dell will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Barwick, GA, Mr. Adams had resided in Albany since 1953, moving from Bainbridge, GA. He was the retired owner of Adams Electric Motor Company, Adams Auto Sales and the former owner of Hadden's Flowers & Gift Shop.
Mr. Adams was a World War II Air Force veteran and loved to fish and garden. He was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church, was the former teacher of the Fisherman's Sunday School Class and was currently a member of the Brothers in Christ Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Alice O. Adams of, Albany, GA, two daughters, Anne Gray and her husband, Randy of , Albany, GA and Susan Dell and her husband, Seaborn of, Augusta, GA, a son, Michael Jason Adams and his wife, Lanna of Albany, GA, two brothers, Floyd Adams of Cairo, GA and Raymond Adams and his wife, Sarah of, San Diego, CA, a sister, Martha Burdette, Thomasville, GA and eleven grandchildren, Jessica Scarborough and her husband, Justin of Blakely, GA, Jason Adams and his wife, Sarah of, Montgomery, AL, Joel Adams and his wife, Therese of, Rochester, NY, April Montgomery and her husband, David of, Montgomery, AL, Lori Brown and her husband, Daniel of North Salem, IN, Tommy Dell of Ft. Campbell, KY, Timmy Dell, Rachel Dell, Stephen Dell, Carrie Dell and Tiffany Dell all of Augusta, GA, five great-grandchildren, Emily Scarborough, Penny Adams, Torin Adams, Clayton Dell and Caleb Dell. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Adams.
