MRS. LAFRANIER HERRINGTON ELLSWORTH — The funeral for Mrs. Helen M. Herrington, 78, Kanopolis, will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Ellsworth First Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Donald Ray officiating. Burial will be in Geneseo Cemetery. Mrs. Herrington died Tuesday at the Ellsworth Good Samaritan Rest Home. She was born March 12, 1903, in Ellsworth County had had been a lifetime resident. She was a member of the church, the Rebekah Lodge and the Willing Workers. She was graduated from the Ellsworth School of Nursing and was a retired registered nurse. Surviving are two sons, Bill, Kanopolis, and Norman, Olathe; four daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Obermeyer and Mrs. Helen Tewes, both of Salina; Mrs. Mary Jane Vondra, Geneseo, and Mrs. Nancy Bircher, Ellsworth; 21 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Her husband, Lafranier, died Jan. 12, 1958. The family suggests memorials to the Good Samaritan Rest Home or to the Kanopolis City Library. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Grubb-Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, and Friday from 8 a.m. until the service at the church.
