Gustav Haggstrom was born January 27, 1889 at St. Paul to John and Anna Marie Haggstrom. He was educated in that area, attended the former St. Paul Business College and the Lincoln School of Business. He farmed and was employed in the implement business.

He was united in marriage to the former Olga Oakeson on June 3, 1911 at St. Paul. The couple moved to Peetz, Colorado and four years later they returned to St. Paul where they farmed until 1937. They moved to Wolbach where he operated a service station. In 1940 they moved to Wahoo where he was employed at the ordinance plant. In 1945 they moved to Sterling, Colorado where he operated a feed business, then in 1947 they moved to Fort Lupton, Colorado where they resided until 1961 when he retired form the feed business. Mrs. Haggstrom died in June of 1961.

On May 5, 1962 he married Tillie Liende at Fort Lupton. She passed away in October of 1971. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 119 and the Eastern Star of Fort Lupton.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Violet Johnson of Aurora, Illinois, Mrs. Lillie Bussell of Wheatridge, Colorado and Mrs. Mildred Falk of Lakewood, Colorado; one step-daughter, Mrs. Hazel Bell of Lakewood; five sons, Melvin of Anchorage, Alaska, Wilber of Wheatridge, Kenneth of Del Rey, California, Orville of Glendale and Gus Wendell of Pacific Palisades, California; one step-son, Lawrence Liende of Wheatridge; one sister, Mrs. Dagney Larson of San Francisco; 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceding in death were his two wives and parents.
