Alice was born to John & Marie (Didlo) Sollars. She grew up in the french bottoms with her 8 brother and sisters and met and married her first husband, Clarence Stiles (assistant fire chief) on Feb 28 1934. Clarence proceeded her in death on June 28 1968.

She was a wonderful caregiver who spent her life making a loving home for her husband and children.

Alice was cafeteria manager for the St Joseph School District.

Alice later married childhood friend, Loren Strong, Dec 22 1972. They enjoyed traveling to California and Arizona during the winter months as "snow birds" in their camper for many years. Loren preceeded her in death on March 29 1988.

She was also preceeded in death by infant twins, Donald & Donna Stiles, brother Clarence, Alfred, Harold, John, and Arnold Sollars; sisters Marie Gentzell, Adeline George and Marilla Guthery; grandson Ken S Miller and son-in-law Richard Miller.

Alice was a member of Savannah Avenue Baptist Church for several years and later Woodson Chapel Christian Church. Alice had a great love for her family and loved gardening, canning and playing cards.

Survivors; daughters Marilyn Miller and Jannette Fleck (Jack) of St Joseph, son Stephen Stiles (Donna) Austin TX, stepson Bruce Strong St Joseph, sister Charlotte Hambrick St Joseph; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
