Marie Alleen Gentzell, 82, St Joseph MO, died Tuesday July 26, 2005 in a local health-care center.

Marie, a homemaker, was born September 14, 1922 in St Joseph. she was a graduate of Lafayette High School and a lifetime PTA member. Other memberships included Woodson Chapel Christian Church where she served as deacon; Christian Women's Fellowship; and Mary Martha Circle. She volunteered for Oats and had served as their treasurer for 12 years.

On December 31, 1942 she married Clifford Gentzell, who preceded her in death July 18, 2001.

Her parents, John and Marie (Didlo) Sollars; daughter Kathy Combs; vbrother Harold, Arnold, Alfred and Clarence Sollars; and sisters Adeline George and Marilla Guthery, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis & Linda Gentzell; daughter and son-in-law Karen & Dough O'Niell; and sisters Alice Strong and Charlotte Hambrick, all of St Joseph; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
