Creola Pointer Chinn, A resident of Baton Rouge, she died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 87 and a native of Woodville, Miss. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home. Religious service at New Gideon Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Reginald Pitcher. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. She is survived by three daughters, Jessie Clark, Luevetta Thomas and Dianne C. Brooks, Chicago; two sons, Robert Turner and Louis Turner, Chicago; two stepsons, Lawrence "Banny" Chinn and Willie "BW" Chinn, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Daisy Veals and Louise Pointer, Baton Rouge; a brother, Woodrow Pointer, Baton Rouge; 36 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
