Flossie Coplen
Mrs. Flossie COPLEN, 80, Tippecanoe, died Saturday at South Bend Memorial hospital.
Mrs. Coplen was born Oct. 5, 1895, in Mentone to Ruel and Mary Ann ENGLE JEFFERIES. She had lived in Tippecanoe for 30 years, moving from Rochester. She married Clifton KARNS in 1915; he died in 1922. In 1926 she married Ray COPLEN; he died in 1946. Mrs. Coplen was a member of the Tippecanoe community church, the Fireman's auxiliary, Progress club and was a 50-year member of the Royal Neighbors.
Surviving are three sons, Joseph KARNS, Shelbyville; John COPLEN, South Bend, and Sam COPLEN, Tippecanoe; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Anne) COOPER, Keystone Heights, Fla.; seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Tippecanoe Community church with the Rev. Douglas FREITZELE officiating. Burial will be at the Mentone cemetery. Friends may call at the King memorial home in Mentone today and on Tuesday for one hour before services at the church.
