Mr. Albert Winfred Alexander, 88, of 2 Three Mile Road, died Wednesday at a Rome Health-Care Center after a long illness. Mr. Alexander was born in Sale Creek, Tenn., April 14, 1909, son of the late James Alexander and the late Sudie Gothard Alexander. He was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Barger Alexander, May 28, 1997.
Survivors include: two daughters; Norma Dean Phillips, Chattanooga and Fonda Sexton, Rome; two brothers, Woodrow Alexander, Sale Creek and Cecil Baggett, Deckard, Tenn.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Rev. David Hopper officiating.
