Obituary: Donald Leslie Webster
Donald was born September 28, 1924 to Joseph and Vera Webster in Red Bluff, Ca. He attended Gerber Elementary school and Red Bluff High School. He enlisted in the Navy during his senior year, serving two and one-half years in the admiralty Islands. He received his discharge in December, 1945. He then entered into the Insurance Business until his retirement. Donald passed away August 3, in Chico Enloe Hospital at the age of 73. Donald was an active member of the Vina Community Baptist Church and at the Woodson Bridge Estates Park. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing and was an avid reader.
His survivors include his wife Frances of Corning, daughters Candy Gilb of Whittier and Marlys Derania of Roseville; two granddaughters Leslie Burchell and Ashley Gilb and grandson Mathew Derania. Two sisters, Evelyn Seavers of Orland and Maxine Brustic of Oklahoma. Twin brothers, Stan Webster of Sacramento and Steve Webster of Oklahoma, three stepdaughters, Theresa Roberts, Marsha Kaiser and Marlene Lorea, one stepson Merritt Erickson; seven grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Also numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. A graveside service for Donald was held August 8, 10:00 a.m. at the Glen Oaks Memorial Park in Chico, with full Veterans Honors.
