From the Albion Journal Register Sept 2, 1915: Wm Smith - Great Great Grandfather. A baby boy that arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. S. Chalcraft last Sunday proved to be the link in the family chain necessary to make our oldest citizen, Mr. Wm. Smith, a great great grandfather. The lineage runs as follows: Wm. Smith, great great grandfather, George Smith, great grandfather, Bertha Smith (Mrs. Geo H. Chalcraft, Sr) grandmother, and Geo. S. Chalcraft, father.

Harold George Chalcraft, 61, of Boody died 11:15 a.m. Friday in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in Nales Funeral Home, Albion, with visitation 11 a.m. Monday until service time. Visitation will also be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albion.
Mr. Chalcraft was born in Ellery, a son of George S. and Winnie Chalcraft. He was a farm machinery dealer and a member of the Maroa Christian Church and Maroa Masonic Lodge. He married Sarah Wagner in 1937.
Surviving are his wife; son, Kenneth G. of Denver, CO.; daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Judith) Karr of Wurzburg, Germany; Mrs. Dennis (Jane) Heydanek of Midland, MI.; Mrs. Joseph (Joyce Kay) Goeke of Lawton, OK.; brother, Francis W. of Pekin; sisters, Mrs. Floyd W. (Ruth) Ewing of Albion; Mrs. Robert (Norma) Doty of Bone Gap; four grandchildren.
One sister preceded him in death.
