A resident of Denham Springs, she died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at Ochsner Medical Center. She was 93 and a native of Tylertown, Miss. Graveside service at Hollywood Cemetery, McComb, Miss., at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14.

Survived by her three daughters, Delores M. and husband Morgan Cryer Jr., of Denham Springs, Dot M. and husband Bobby Sanders, of Baton Rouge, and Barbara Wallace, of Newnan, Ga.; sister, Wilma Boyd, of Denham Springs; three brothers, Billy Prescott, of Baton Rouge, Ray Prescott, of Texas, and Harlin Prescott, of Jackson, Miss.; 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her first husband, John Wallace Martin, who was of McComb; second husband, Herman Carraway, who was of Denham Springs; daughter, Doris Crafton, who was of Biloxi, Miss.; brothers, Jessie, Marvin, Vester, C.J., Harold and Herbert Prescott; son, Glen Martin, who was of McComb; granddaughter, Angela Crafton, who was of Biloxi; great-grandson, U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Carl Scott Cryer; and mother and father, Carrie and Massey Prescott.

Arrangements by Hartman Sharkey Funeral Home, McComb, and Renaissance Services Inc., Gonzales.
