J. W. Cox, 75, a resident of the Wolbach community for over a half of century died Friday in the hospital in St. Paul. (Funeral details followed....)

Jack William Cox, son of John and Ellen Cox was born October 19, 1889 near Cedar Rapids, Nebraska. Mr. Cox had been in failing health for some time and suffered a stroke on January of this year. He passed from this life on January 29, 1965 at the hospital in St. Paul Nebraska at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 10 days.

He received his education and grew to manhood in the Plum Creek area near Cedar Rapids. He was united in marriage to Selma Wagner on January 12, 1910 at Wolbach, Nebraska. The couple made their home on a farm near Chapman until 1911 when they moved to a farm near Wolbach. In 1936 they moved into Wolbach where he started a trucking business and in 1944 he was a Standard Oil agent in Wolbach until retiring in 1954. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Wolbach.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Anne Gaddie of Stanton, and Mrs. Erma Riibe of Omaha; a son, Raymond of Iowa city, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Ada Trautman, Boise, Idaho, Mrs. Ida Auten, Columbus, Mrs. Corda Wagner, Atlanta, Georgia, and Mrs. Gladys Pierpont, Grand Island; two brothers, Oliver of Spalding and Charlie of Tulare, California; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were two infant daughters and an infant son; his parents, and one sister.
