BELOVED WOMAN PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Florence Lattimer Mars, wife of Dr. W. H. Mars, passed away at her home in Philadelphia last Monday afternoon. Her death came as a complete shock to everyone. Altho Mrs. Mars had not been well for months, she was able to be up and was not thought to be in a serious condition. She was taken worse on Sunday and when physicians were called in for consultation it was conceded that there was no hope of her recovery. The two children, William and Martha, who were out of town were unable to reach home before she died. She was conscious up to the last and bade the members of family farewell.
Mrs. Mars was born in Plattsburg 48 years ago. She was married to W. H. Mars 24 years ago, and they have made their home in Philadelphia for 16 years. Her cheerful and happy disposition has endeared her to the entire community, and her death will be a loss keenly felt by all.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Wednesday morning at 9:30. The Rev. L. E. Alford and Rev. W. L. Linfield having charge of the services.
