From "The Aaron Stark Family, Seven Generations", by Charles R. Stark, page 42 Paul Stark was born Dec. 9, 1769, Dutchess County, NY. He married Oct. 22, 1794, Katherine Rosecrans, who was born Aug. 28,1780, and died Jan. 30, 1860. Paul and his mother found refuge in the home of Colonel William Pearce after the Wyoming massacre. His mother dying soon afterwards, he remained there and was reared in this home. Paul left the family of his Uncle William Pearce in Dutchess County, going to the house of his Uncle William Stark in Orange County. Here he met and married his wife, Katherine Rosecrans, and then he returned to the Wyoming Valley, buying and living on the place adjoining James. He was taxed in Wilkes-Barre Township in 1799. They moved to Licking County, Ohio, about 1815.
