Funeral services for Mr. Clarence Monroe Peake, age 68, of Oklahoma City, will be held at 2:00 p.m.Friday October 24, 2003 in The Chapel of the Resthaven Funeral Home with Brother Sam Davison of the South West Baptist Church officiating. Clarence was born February 18, 1935 in Houston, Texas the son of Joseph and Ruby Peake. He went to be with the Lord on Monday October 20, 2003 at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City after a long battle with Amyloidosis. Clarence attended school in Houston, Texas until the age of 13, at which time his family moved to Oklahoma City. He attended the Oklahoma City Public Schools, graduating from north East High School in 1954. Clarence then enlisted into the United States Navy, being honorably discharged in 1956. He was united in marriage to (living) June 11, 1959. Clarence began his walk with Christ at age 22 when he was saved. In 1968 he became a member of the South West Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday school teacher, served on the missions committee from 1968 to 1990 and was a deacon for 13 years. One of his greatest joys serving the church was his bus ministry. Clarence drove the Sunday school bus for over 25 years and witnessed approximately 1500 souls saved through this ministry. He had a great love for children and his Lord Jesus Christ. Suvivors include his wife (all Living). He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother,Thurman J. Peake
. Burial will conclude in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of the Resthaven Funeral Home of Oklahoma City. END
Clarence attended Burbank School, in Houston,Tx. Lived on Ellena St. off Little York Rd.
